Movebubble Feature Extension

  • Jill Parish
Movebubble is an app focused on improving the London rental market for renters. Currently, they allow renters to search a curated list of properties, to make a viewing, and to rate their viewing once they've been. Our group of four designers was tasked with extending the app by adding in a feature to allow users to "secure this property" and put down a holding deposit on a property they'd viewed.

Our research stage consisted of market research, as well as extensive user research via both surveys and interviews, gathering a huge amount of data, which we used to inform all of our designing. It also allowed us to hypothesize that users would like a reason to stay engaged with the app during the entire process if they were going to use it to pay - a finding that we discussed with the client in order to modify our brief to create these features.

With the problem clarified, we went on to the design stage, beginning with a design studio, which I facilitated, with three stakeholders from the client, and three members of our team. From this point, we rapidly prototyped and tested three iterations of our proposed solution, before creating the main final deliverable for this two week sprint - a set of high-definition wireframes which we made into a clickable prototype to present to the client.
