Mpman

Packaging that exudes technology.

Brussels-based MPman created the first-ever portable Mp3 player in 1997, and has since remained one of the most important players in the European consumer electronics market (supplying such giants as Carrefour, FNAC, Mediamarkt, and more). Their catalogue now encompasses a variety of electronic products such as radios, tablets, televisions, and even electronic bikes and scooters.
MPman needed a modern and sleek packaging to represent its vast electronic offering. Given that their packaging is their principal means of communication, our challenge was to create a casing that would grab people’s attention while staying true to their identity.

Packagings

The MPman target audience is young, connected, and tech savvy, qualities that inspired the brand’s visual universe. The packaging has a sharp design that highlights the product being sold and relevant information that would interest buyers in an engaging manner. We pushed the envelope even further by establishing a colour palette of eye-grabbing tones. Each shade was assigned to a specific product category.
The final packaging is characterized by a visual identity that stands out in the cluttered electronic aisles. Shoppers are able to not only recognize MPman’s products from afar, but also go over their key features through a simple glance at the packaging. This mode of operation was also used when designing MPman’s product catalogue, helping them appeal to suppliers and distributors.
