Museums at Night festival

Culture24 coordinates the Museums at Night festival, supporting cultural and heritage venues across the UK to open their doors for night-time events and spectacular displays. Museums at Night has become such an institution we run two a year: one around the same time as International Museum Day in May and one as close as we can get to Halloween. The next festivals are taking place from Wednesday 15 – Saturday 18 May 2019 and Thursday 31 October – Saturday 2 November 2019. Since we imported the idea from Europe some years ago, our UK version of La Nuit des Musées has gone from strength to strength. In 2017 we helped stage 700 events nationwide. What other occasion could bring a jelly flood to a shipyard in Bristol, a sci-fi karaoke party to Scunthorpe and a spate of beachfront nudism to a gallery in Folkestone? The Museums at Night website is also home to listings for UK-based Lates events taking place throughout the year. From tours and talks to live music and light installations, we help audiences discover fantastic evening activities at cultural venues.
