My Fine Art

¶ I studied Fine Arts, Graphics for five (5) years in the National School of Arts in Bulgaria. ¶ Sculpture, Painting and Graphic were among our subjects. The teachers are well known in the Society of Artists. They have held many exhibitions of paintings in Bulgaria, Europe and USA. ¶ Acquired a third degree of professional qualification in the profession Artist Applied Arts with a specialty in Graphics.
Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for a relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal (mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller, and then impressed onto paper or fabric.
“Conversation with God” ¶ It is one of three artworks, I produced for my Diploma work at the school of arts. The image illustrates a man, reaching out to the night sky. That is because when I look at the stars I feel like I am not alone and wanted to visualise the feeling. ¶ I chose to represent God via the stylised symbol between the clouds. The latter, I drew kind of hypnotic, to strengthen the feeling of a supernatural experience.
“A look to the Promised Land” ¶ Another of the artworks, developed for my Diploma work. It is a combination of techniques, sort of a collage. ¶ The top part is charcoal, showing a prophet-like figure and the people looking to the Promised Land, having different reactions; including looking away. ¶ Bellow we see printed images of a rocky mountain and tracing paper, cut in a way to look like water. Water is a symbol for change, among other things.
