My Modern House by Charlotte Trounce, Children's Publication

Introducing the Barbican's first, self published, children’s publication: ‘My Modern House’ by illustrator Charlotte Trounce. This book will take readers on a trip around the world to learn some of the most exciting examples of modern houses. Bursting with creative activities and fun facts, it is the perfect companion for budding architects. Available in the Barbican Shop and online (shop.barbican.org.uk). I oversaw the development of this publication, working closely with printers, the illustrator and designer of the book, as well as our press and marketing teams, in order to create an affordable and profitable publication that appeals to a wide audience, while still feeling bespoke to the Barbican. While developping this book, I had to ensure the margins were robust enough to allow for trade sales without compromising on the quality of the publication.
