The Mycology and Synesthesia projects are closely correlated, both exploring the theme of mycology but with very different outcomes. The mycology project focuses largely on the microscopic world of mycology that goes un noticed by most, I have been using an electronic microscope to investigate beautiful natural cellular/spore structures to then use as direct influence to create various collage and 3d outcomes. The research for this project is the main content but there will be a final piece consisting of a series of delicate resin and ceramic mushrooms, displayed in a way that draws attention to the gills/spores.
