The National Portrait Gallery in London has purchased this photograph of Sir Bradley Wiggins, by Jay Brooks, for their Photographs Collection.
Sir Bradley, whose career achievements include numerous titles from both track and road cycling, is the first British cyclist to gain a podium finish in Tour de France history. Wiggins was awarded his knighthood as part of the 2013 New Year Honours.
The Gallery now has four of Jay’s photographs – including actress Hayley Atwell and The Other Boleyn Girl screenwriter, Peter Morgan.
