New Orleans 2020

  • Jessica Leggo

These images were taken in March 2020 in New Orleans, right after the festivities of Mardi Gras and just before lock-down was enforced in this amazing city; usually fuelled by it's hospitality industry and world famous parades and parties. I was there right up until the day that curfews and closings were enforced, blissfully unaware of what was to come, and of the fact that I was capturing the last days of 'normality' that NOLA would see for a while. I truly hope that some of the incredible family run restaurants, small businesses and historical bars will survive this crazy time. The fabric of the city is truly a unique mix of cultures and rich history, woven together by unreal food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere; quite unlike any other city I've ever experienced.
