Nissan Beatz is a project commissioned by Nissan Design Europe Studio during my studies at the MA Material Futures.
The project proposed an answer or rather a suggestion reacting on the huge traffic congestion problem appearing in the city of Lagos Nigeria.
Citizens of Lagos spend 4-6 hours daily in a traffic jam, a fact that substantially decreases their quality of life. My project proposes a special edition of Nissan Micra car interiors converted into a music recording studio. Music is essential and crucial part of nigerian culture as well as stress relieving activity. The interiors of the car designed are equipped with digital as well as analog musical instruments as well as simple equipment to record the music created. Times spent in traffic jam used effectively and also fighting the frustration accumulated.
