Nissan D&AD Project

A university project in which a sub brand would have to be created to incorporate all of the green technologies Nissan use. Overall the design brief wanted not only to promote the green technologies but also wanted to target a new audience to their products, their target demographic were those who had just started driving and were seeking out their very first car, young families where they were starting to need something a little more reliable and cost effective than the typical second hand car.

With this in mind a new logo for the sub brand was created which retains the shape of the N within a badge formation whilst still flowing. Additionally as promotional events for the sub brand I researched into green events which the company could sponsor and also developed an idea for a Q&A with product developers and a handy app which would alert drivers when their MOT was due, when the car was last serviced, how many miles it’s done, and tips on caring for your car.
Additionally to promote the brand even further a series of hand inked cards were developed to celebrate key moments such as a new home, job, a growing family and probably more importantly congratulations on passing your driving test.
