A video consisting of a culmination of many vignettes of “discoveries” of light in darker periods of time, with some of my old footages from road trips along malaysian highways, Victorian houses and windows in London, air streaks and airplane lights flashing at night; and found footages from the internet of people recording “lights” appearing in the sky, old mansions in the dark and seedy nightclub lights illuminating fake palm trees. Perhaps it is areconciliation of my childhood memories of growing up at my
grandmother’s isolated estate, looking at houses in the dark and looking for escape in the night sky; for the comfort of the hazy darkness and the yearning for the expanding dizziness of brightness.
