Noughts & Crosses - Penguin

  • Abi Ballinger
Noughts and Crosses is a teen fiction by Malorie Blackman based upon racism, love and war. It focuses on the split between two communities being the Noughts who are white and the Crosses who are black. In the book, the Crosses are powerful and stronger and the Noughts the opposite.
I used the visual of roses to represent the love aspect of the book as well as a racial difference metaphoric meaning, showing that the Crosses overpower the Noughts. The accents of red typography is to resemble the pain and suffering within the book.
