Oak Ridge

TYPE
Editorial
BRIEF
To design a six-page travel feature with an unconventional layout about Oak Ridge, a secret town that housed the workers who created the first atomic bomb dropped on Japan in 1945.
SOLUTION
To use censorship and voids in images to convey a sense of covert activity. The palette draws on the colour spectrum found in nuclear explosions while the font references 1940s military documents.
