‘Of Mice and Men’ has been created as a Zine project illustrating the well-known novel by John Steinbeck. Each image was created to be subtle pointer to the eventual downfall of Lennie (the main character), I wanted to highlight these clever shadowing events Steinbeck has created throughout the book. I used hints in my imagery to show this and also mimicked this in the format of the zine itself. The rabbit emoji has been used through the whole text to emphasise Lennie’s obsession with their future, which also links into one of the main themes of the text ‘the American dream’.
