Oliver Speaks

  • Peter Provis
Found in the Congo in the late sixties and brought to America to live with a family of chimpanzee

trainers, Oliver was one of a kind. Some said he seemed strangely... human... almost as if his heritage was only half chimpanzee. If only he could speak and tell us his side of the story. In this piece, the puppeteer
channels the soul of this possibly hybrid life form, to finally give him a voice. He tells his side of the story, and answers questions from the audience.

Oliver Speaks has been performed at Ambler Primary school and was a favorite with the children.
