Orchidarium

My inspiration for this project came from a visit to the Orchidarium in Estapona, Spain where I was inspired by the symmetry of each orchid which sparked my interest in exploring the beauty of symmetry. This inspired my approach to drawing, using mirrors to distort the points of symmetry and incorporating the complex orchidarium interior itself with its symmetrical, geometric dome ceiling, contrasting to the fluidity of the flowers. My designing was aimed for a high end women’s luxury market, using luxurious silk fabrics and bold prints which are elegant and contemporary, appealing to the high end market.
