Orto Gift-O-Matic

Orto, Slovenia's No. 1 youth telco brand, is all about practicality. During the 2015 Christmas holidays, it set out to help out those in need of last-minute gifts.
By upcycling a couple of vending machines, filling them up with gifts, and setting them up in different hotspots across the capital, Orto presented youth with the most hassle-free way to get fun, practical and inexpensive Christmas presents for their friends and family during the busy holiday shopping season. The Gift-O-Matics proved so popular that all of them were emptied out in a matter of days.
Practical little things like lemon squeezers, portable chargers, flashlights and egg holders were packed in neat cardboard boxes. To add a dash of intrigue each of them was topped off with a tagline that suggested a bit about what was inside.
The cardboard boxes proved to be intriguing, but we needed to make sure the right gifts went to the right people. Vending machine slots were labeled "for Mum", "for Dad", "for a Friend", etc. so budding Christmas shoppers could purchase the right type of gift without having to worry about sending the wrong message.
