The extroverted Oscura Chair is a a one-off, hand shaped piece that takes cues from the classic Windsor and adds the attitude of a lounge.
As I created this chair, I wanted to share my experience of working so closely with the wood – really feeling it – to the person who would eventually sit in it. Place a cup of tea on the oversized arms and connect to the wood through the exposed, angled grain, using touch as a key element to the experience. Although Oscura is considered a “corner chair” it can happily play the protagonist role in any room.
