Owning It!: A panel event and supper club from Ash Magazine and Drinking Out Loud
A couple of years ago, Dove’s global study into body confidence gave us some pretty shocking statistics: 96% of women in the UK feel anxious about the way they look. We’re dismayed, but not surprised by that number, being women who live in a world where shame, objectification and negative body image lurk on every corner. However, we’re also absolutely certain about the positive, life-affirming power of talking and relating, so we’ve decided to put on an event close to the beginning of the year to equip us with the mental toolbox we need to go forward and smash the shit out of 2019.
It seemed only right that an event of this kind should include delicious food and drinks, so we’ll provide a casual two-course meal to accompany our panel discussion on body positivity, confidence, owning your sex life, prioritising yourself and your pleasure, ditching guilt and shame and tapping into your own personal power.
