Oxjam is all about the people; the Festival Teams, the Gig Makers, the artists and performers, the venues and, of course, the audience. We started out in 2006 with the aim of creating a network of music loving people across the UK, and since then have hosted more than 60,000 musicians playing to an audience of over 1.5 million people.
Oxjam is a unique grassroots movement, a one-off, new type of festival run by volunteers and uniting music fans under a shared goal and vision: to raise money for Oxfam and fight poverty and inequality across the world. In short, Oxjam celebrates and supports local music, while having a global impact. Now that’s something we can all get behind!
