Packaging design

This is a redesign for Masego's Loose Thoughts album. The project involved a steady process where I began by researching the artist and the music genre. I identified trends and competitors throughout this process that influenced my design choices and inspired ideas. I then began brainstorming and coming up with some concepts for the album cover. I made numerous iterations of each idea combining illustrations with type and exploring different graphic styles and printing processes. I finally came up with the final design of the outside cover, and then I continued the process by designing the inside sleeve and the vinyl sticker as well as some merchandise to go with the album including some t-shirts and phone cases. I also experimented with designing for screen and this was achieved by making an animation for Spotify and scaling down the album art so it is legible on a screen.
