While visiting a toy store recently, I watched some kids purchase blind bags and was fascinated to see their reactions opening them-disappointment, irritational, joy! I thought of doing a brief based on the idea of instant gratification and risk taking.
‘Myst’ is a blind bag brand featuring a line of outrageous lipstick shades. Suited to all skin types, the product is cheap enough for the demographic to purchase, but has a mysterious allure; the customer having to choose a bag, and seeing what fate has in store for them! The idea is that the consumer is dared to try a shade maybe they wouldn’t normally pick for themselves, but still willing to take a chance and try!
The Logo is done in a sweeping serif that compliment this smokey motif detail on the box side, printed on tinted plastic that offers a peak into what’s inside without giving the contents away!
