Patrick George

Patrick George is a graduate of Falmouth School of Art, and previously worked as a graphic designer. His illustrations are concept-driven, with the simplicity of an idea and its execution being at the core of his work. While loose sketching and doodling is an important step in the process of discovery, he prefers to work up visuals on the computer before submitting to clients as happy accidents can occur along the way.
His work has featured in D&AD, received an Award of Excellence from Communication Arts, been selected for the AOI's Illustration Awards and touring exhibition, and won a SPOTS editorial award.
Since signing with Début Art in 2010 he’s enjoyed working on a variety of projects across editorial, advertising, publishing, film and music sectors, for clients including Adidas / Bank of Scotland / Boeing / Cosmopolitan / Dell / EMI / ESPN / Fidelity / GQ / Harvard Business Review / IATA / Johns Hopkins University / Kiplinger's Personal Finance / London Business School / Lloyds of London / Men’s Health / Microsoft / New Scientist / Radio Times / Royal Mail / Scientific American Mind / SHOP Magazine / The Times / Toyota / Vodafone / Wall Street Journal / Washington Post / Women’s Health / XRDS.
He is particularly interested in animal welfare and environmental issues and would welcome the opportunity of working with organisations in those areas.
He also publishes his own distinctive range of children’s books which have been translated into 17 languages, and received many accolades including a nomination for the Kate Greenaway Medal for illustration. His latest book ‘Animal Rescue’ has recently been shortlisted for the Best British Book Design and Production Awards 2015.
