PDSW October Ceilidh with Melobo and caller Jane Bird

  • Pavillion Dance South West

PDSW Ceilidhs, the premier English Ceilidh series in the South West. The dances will be held in our fully air-conditioned Ocean Room Theatre, here at Pavilion Dance in the heart of Bournemouth. The dancing will be on our sprung floor with atmospheric lighting creating a unique folk dance club experience. Come with a partner, group of friends, or on your own; English Ceilidh is a social dance and often dancers will change their pairs to meet new people. English Ceilidh (pronounced Kaylee) is a lively and energetic form of communal folk, barn, or country dancing. You’ll be led by the “Caller” who will guide both novice and experienced dancers through each of the dances. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a 7 pm start with a break halfway through the evening. Dancing finishes at 10 pm. Wear comfortable shoes and cool clothing as you will get warm whilst dancing. Our fully licensed bar will be open throughout. Children aged 10 and upwards are welcome. Looking for fun things to do over Christmas – try our Christmas Ceilidh on 22nd Dec. Book now to avoid disappointment.
