Photojournalism: Chars of Bangladesh

Photojournalism and research work, amplifying the skill of grassroots responses to sudden floods and land erosion in Bangladesh's northern chars.
Chars are temporary islands made and broken in Bangladesh's rivers. People are pushed - by an unholy alliance of poverty, colonial-era land law, elite landowners, population density and NGOs - to live sedentary lives on these shifting bits of fragile land.
