Places Near Home is the first of a series of personal explorations in cartography, documenting light patterns in familiar environments. This piece archives light systems in Montreal, as referenced by satellite imagery of the city in the evening. Clustes and formations of particular lights are grouped, and named, based on their location and my personal experiences with them.
