A series addressing how plastic production is influenced by the demand for and production of oil and gas, due to the fact it is a product of extracting and refining fossil fuels for energy. A great quantity of the US manufactured plastics are planning to be exported to developing countries, where their waste management services may not be equipped to handle the current, let alone a huge surge in non-biodegradable solid waste.
