As part of my Final Major Project for my MA studies, I undertook managing our final exhibition, which took place at our UCA campus, in Epsom. Saying you're going to manage a show that comprises of two classes (Graphic Design and Design, Innovation & Brand Management) with 30, very different personalities with mixed ideas and different projects is one thing, and then ending up managing a show for 50 people (Fashion and MBA) is a whole different ball game. What I found truly rewarding was to see the outcome of your blood, sweat and tears. Having started with a completely blank canvas, and having this outcome is truly a relief, and almost worth all the hassle. Everything from the layout of the room to the theme and signage has been decided and put in motion by myself and so to see it all tie up as well as it did, it was the best way of ending my degree and project. Even though it was stressful and extremely challenging, it's definitely spiked my interest in event management.
