A humble prisoner has no memory of his crime or his life outside his cell and the elements that surround him have become his world. The only thing he knows is that he has been waiting for his end, determined by the almighty force that is the jailer. This seemingly bleak metaphor for the human paradox is dealt with surprising light-heartedness and simplicity.
Prisoner 61 has been performed at Ambler primary school and was a favorite with the children. It has also been performed at Skipton Puppet Festival 2009, 2013 and at Ynot Festival 2010 where it was a favourite with the adults.
