Professional Project

  • Victoria Duffy

"Your Professional Project is the culmination of your creative and practical work on the course to date. This unit provides the opportunity to plan and develop solutions to live or simulated briefs in the form of a Learning Agreement. There will be an extended period of planning, at the beginning of the unit to enable you to thoroughly prepare for the execution of the Professional Project. You will record the outcomes of the planning stages and your proposed brief/s for the Professional Project in a Learning Agreement. The brief/s will reflect both creative and technical standards and the areas of practice, which you are to concentrate upon during the Professional Project unit and to aid your focus interests in readiness for Level 6. The unit requires you to consider all logistical and organisational aspects of the self-directed project and to define your proposed solutions. These will then be realised for the project. You now have a concentrated opportunity to develop and produce the practical work required to the highest professional standard. The project thus not only draws together your creative and practical knowledge and skills, but also presents your best possible work to a potential public and professional audience."
