  • Louise Honey

Following my pursuit to support the future of sustainable and circular design, I joined the AYCH team in April 2019. As an ambassador of the project I have had to opportunity to travel internationally for Creative Jams alongside attending local events as an expert in sustainable fashion in addition to a creative residency in Santo Tirso, Portugal in July 2019 and as a team member of AYCH Oceans to protect the beaches of the Cíes Islands, Galicia. As part of my part within the European funded project I took part in a creative residency located in Santo Tirso, Portugal where I had the opportunity to see the local textile mills and factories which has helped to broaden my knowledge on the industry and current issues against traditional manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: - Promote the Fab City project to the public to encourage participation within local and international Fab City Creative Jam events - Connect with like minded individuals within the project to discuss ideas for the future - Attend local and international Creative Jam events to share my skills and knowledge as a specialist within sustainable fashion at both local and international events - Attend relevant events linked to the project including international residencies, AYCH Ocean and promotional opportunities to raise awareness for AYCH such as Venture Fest AYCH is a European project funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, aiming at building a model of social innovation for young people supporting social entrepreneurship, employment and education in the creative and cultural industries.
