Pulse Manchester

Pulse Manchester is designed to bring together the different communities of Manchester together under one roof, to understand and discover the cluster spaces of art and design in and around Manchester. Over the years communities from various corners of the world, arrived and settled in Manchester and transformed the cultural and social landscape of the city. The word ’Pulse’ describes the life of the city, the interactions and vibes of various cultures, traditions, arts and histories intertwining with each other to enrich Manchester’s identity. Commercial art galleries and publicly funded museums and art galleries attract different audiences, the younger generations are drawn to commercial forms of art which are much more experimental and contemporary as opposed to the somewhat static art forms represented in publicly funded art galleries and museums.
