Unique piece Concept: Quarantine Technique: Acrylic on Wood Collaboration with Ayma Boards

Challenge

For this collaboration, a group of local artists and illustrators where selected and given a fresh, clean board to intervene. Working with the concept of the quarantine.

To understand, explain, express and represent what being at home for so many days has meant. It sure hasn’t been an easy thing to do.

During all those months at home, I have had a ton of different feelings and thoughts. I have tried to keep myself active, working on personal projects, exercising, learning an instrument, and keeping in touch with my loved ones. Just staying calm and safe.

Solution

Thinking back to what I have felt and done over these past few months has let me to come up with a series of characters. Each one of them doing something different. From feeding their child while working, spending time to catch up on some reading, immerse themself on a new sound of an instrument or lay back with their pets.
