The project was imagined and created by myself. The purpose of the dissertation was to show my musical skills whilst also bringing to light the struggles of those living with mental health issues, as that is the lyrical basis of each track. It was completed between November 2014 & April 2015 under the supervision of my project supervisor, Dr. J. Eisentraut.
The entire project was recorded using one microphone, MIDI keyboard and the recording software Logic Pro on my laptop. In addition to this I also transcribed the music of each piece, both in fulll and piano reductions, using the Sibelius Student software.
After the tracks were recorded they were edited, mixed and mastered, and finally exported as mp3 files and burned onto a CD with full album and CD artwork.
