Reliquary

Project made during 3D Design Foundation course. We had to create a reliquary; something that would encapsulate an object dear to us. I encapsulated the view of my hometown, Lugano, in Switzerland. It's a view that I hold dear to my heart and one that I am so grateful for having accompanied the first twenty years of my life. This is and old film photograph of Lugano. It's been digitalised and printed onto acetate. It's been cut and deconstructed and placed into moulds filled with resin. The resin has been left to harden and the finished product are these clear resin panels that contain parts of the whole view. These have then been arranged in a display.
