Remote Shooting for Tom Lane

My first shoot post lockdown! And how glorious it was. I cannot begin to express how excited I was when I found out that people in the UK would now be allowed to meet up with one person outside of their household, so long as they maintained social distances. This now meant that I could meet up with local models, and thanks to long lenses, I’d be able to photograph them safely. I’ve worked for Tom Lane for years. Jayne and I were at university together, and I used to shoot her collections whilst she studied fashion design, and I studied fashion photography. Jayne went on to found “Tom Lane” just after we left uni, and she’s been incredibly successful with it. We’ve worked on her campaign images together every year since! This year was obviously different though. Instead of her driving down to Cornwall for our annual shoot, Jayne posted me the items she urgently needed shot, and I did them for her remotely with model Lucy Cole. I’ve shot remotely for brands plenty of times before (many brands want the beauty of Cornwall as their backdrop, but can’t always make the trip down), so I’m used to it. We had an amazing time at Bedruthan Steps on the North Coast of Cornwall, on possibly one of the sunniest evenings I’ve ever seen. It honestly took my breath away. Don’t be fooled though… the wind was strong, and it was much colder than it looks in these images! If you’re a brand looking to have your next collection shot right now, but are finding it difficult due to lockdowns, please consider shooting remotely. I’d be more than happy to walk you through the process, and get your the content that you need!
