Interviewing the Renault Trucks management team for insight, we developed a new strategic positioning: ‘Renault Trucks Deliver’. The design team were then interviewed to create a design philosophy for Renault Trucks’ new vehicle design, launched in 2013.
I travelled to Lyon, the home of Renault Trucks a number of times, to interview board members, photographic and film gathering trips and the presentation of work.
A Brand Bible was created to internally communicate the new strategic positioning. A positioning that gave pride to the trucking industry, an essential reference for anyone wanting an introduction to the brand.
A strong and distinctive Visual Language was implemented to support the new strategy using a clean, modern aesthetic and a simple ‘red square’ system.
I was also responsible for advertising concepts, creating magazine guidelines, as well as info graphics, directing a brand film and design philosophy film.
