Rife Residency

Over the summer of 2021, I was a resident content creator at Rife, Watershed's magazine in Bristol. Over the course of my time there, I created social media content to encourage vaccine take-up amongst young people, promoted upcoming events and produced a video interview with local creatives.

As a resident, part of my responsibility involved promoting Rife's recent articles and upcoming events, with a focus on reaching young audiences through social media. I made a range of designs for The Link series of networking workshops, refining them into a style that was used across social media and Rife's website for both events, alongside copy.
I also worked with the local NHS CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) to identify key questions young people may have around getting the COVID-19 vaccine and created a social media campaign to counter common myths and reasons for hesitation.
Alongside promoting these campaigns, I also created original ideas for content and developed them. This included a photo series of Bristol School of Art's degree show which was posted to Instagram and a video interview and studio visit of CLUMP collective, a music-video making group based in South Bristol. I was responsible for all aspects of production, from ideation and contacting those involved, to shooting and editing the footage, and creating appropriate social media graphics and copy to promote it.
