I directed the global relaunch of Roald Dahl's children's audiobooks, by producing a new series of recordings read by celebrities including Kate Winslet, Chris O' Dowd, and Richard Ayoade, with binaural sound design by Pinewood Studios. The works published in multiple markets and formats including CD, collector's tin, a-la-carte download and the bespoke 'Roald Dahl Audiobooks' App.
The project sought to refresh the audio product range in order to boost brand harmony with Dahl output across entertainment sectors (book, film, theatre, events), to maintain market share in the physical retail space, whilst additionally launching Roald Dahl audio products into multiple digital retail platforms.
As project lead I was responsible for: conceiving the new creative direction of the audio works; creating the project scope, timeline, and projections; pitching to and communicating with key internal and external stakeholders securing trust and buy-in; sourcing creative sound design partners; negotiating celebrity talent; and managing product development by overseeing production and supply chain processes across product strands. I also co-produced a suite of supporting content marketing assets (video, podcast, interviews) to build the launch plan.
