Royal Blood is a dry red wine Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz & FeteascaNeagra
made out of grapes harvested in the very heart of Dracula’s realm.
The brief was to come up with a design concept for an excellent wine-blending still not notorious enough abroad, though many foreigners love and enjoy Romanian wines. Having the opportunity to present this noble wine in the duty-free shopping area, we decided to work on the obvious similarity in color and complexity between the red wine and the vital fluid running in the veins of Prince Dracula.
Therefore, the name and the package directly call forth the noble blood of the the Voivode turned into a vampire as the means of transforming a human been into an immortal; at the same time experience tells us that red, natural wine has the ability to, let’s say, give strength and light the passion of the ones indulging themselves with few glasses.
In a modern approach to a timeless legend, using a custom type as a reinterpretation of the Medieval Gothic writing, we chose to present this mysterious, ruby wine as an elixir, a beverage able to stir Dracula’s fervor in everyone tasting it.
