Rude Girl Fashion Film
A fashion film exploring the Rude Girl and Trojan Skinhead fashions that originated in the 60s. The roots of the skinhead movement, prior to its negative association with communist groups, were founded on working class solidarity and equality. The term Rude Boy originated in the 60s and referred to members of the Jamaican street culture. It was later used to describe fans of the 2 Tone Ska music genre, where the phrase Rude Girl became known. This video documents some of the fashions women wore that were adapted from those sported by their male counterparts.
