RUMIYASQA Credenza

  • Carlos Medrano Maldonado
RUMIYASQA Credenza was inspired by Incan architecture, characterized by the use of carved stone blocks that fit perfectly and by the simplicity of its forms, its solidity and its symmetry. The best remains of this architecture are located in the city of Cuzco, Perú; old capital of the Inca Empire; although the arrival of the spanish conquistadors meant the destruction of many buildings, some important Inca stone foundations were used to build catholic churches, convents, and mansions; and in this way they were preserved until today. RUMIYASQA means “as hard as a rock”, and aims to reflect the simplicity, symmetry and solidity of Inca architecture.
