The brief given was to advertise scotch tape to flatties. Therefore we chose to target students through print and social media. The #botchedjob allows the audience to upload their DIY cellotaped fixes to various social media sites and enter into a competition to win a flat makeover. The copy plays with typical student attitudes towards course related cost, DIY, laziness and mums coming to the rescue. Ultimately creating a light hearted approach students could relate to.
