Segment
The initial design was developed from images taken in Hereford cathedral specifically of the fan buttresses supporting the ceiling. The form was then developed alongside this idea to re interpret the concept of support, whilst also utilizing some of the visual aesthetic prompts taken from the primary resource. Leading to the development of a design I have named segment.
the principles of this being that of a modern take on a traditional heritage practice, sitting perfectly within my idea of where blacksmithing as a craft should be in a modern world of design.
