Selvedge issue 75

Work may not always be cause for celebration, but for this issue Selvedge discovers its true benefits. From apprenticeships at Dovecot Embroidery Studios to the revival of the French worker’s jacket, we look at how we work with fabric, and how it works with us in return. From its health benefits to its economic, social and political impacts, we arrive at America’s largest mills, at Japanese denim and at Mourne Textiles, where a great woman’s work is being recovered.
