Seoul, matins calmes

  • Anouck Oliviero
From ashes in the 50s, South Korea grew fast, maybe too fast. Seoul reflects this leap forward into modernity.

Between worn-off neighborhoods and luxury skyscrapers, Confucianism and Korean youth looking for more independence, the gap is sometimes wide, sometimes unexpected, sometimes moving. This is part of what makes Seoul a beautiful city, which I lived and shot during 6 months.

From a stereotypical “Morning Calm” (Korea’s westerners nickname), to Seoul’s calm mornings, an (other) city that never sleeps.
