These are five rubber vest and dress sculptures from Series 1:Its political, featuring words and statements inspired by current social, political and environmental issues.

I tend to make responsive or reflective artworks inspired by what is going on in the world, so the theme for this first series 'It's political' came about, simply because the time during which I started creating the rubber moulds, was a pretty distressing one!
Both locally and globally there was a lot of unrest and injustice. We were in 'Austerity Britain', the use of food banks was increasing in the U.K. There was all these incidents of police brutality against black people in America, as well as the ongoing wars in the Middle East.
