Ferrofluid is a liquid which contains microscopic particles which become strongly magnetised in the presences of a magnetic field.
The project began in an attempt to capture randomness, by showing the small mysterious beauty of ferrofluid. As experimentation developed, combining water colours with the ferrofluid meant the two liquids separated, forming tantalising visuals. Through the use of a macro lens the detail of the liquids was able to be captured, as the overall size of each sphere measured no more than 30mm.
