Nathan despised camp, but no matter how many sandwiches he substituted for salads, or blocks he ran, the weight stuck and as a result, his parents shipped him off to The Catskills every summer for six miserable weeks. A Missouri misfit who shared Nathan’s love for stamp collecting, cotton candy and Battlestar Galactica. “Tonight’s the night”, Ralph stated as the boys perched on the jetty watching the sun nestle beyond the horizon. Nathan wriggled under the weight of his backpack. Ralph smirked, “Once we hit the road, the world’s our fat oyster”.
