Show Room

This is a project realized during my University studies. It was asked to choose a designer and then create a project that would be his show room. I decided to create the showroom for Issey Miyake, a fashion designer that I admire because of the way he works and the strategies that he follows for the creation of his clothes.

After analyzing Issey Miyake’s work I decided to adapt the method that he uses for the creation of the “Pleats Please” brand. He starts with a paper and origami forms and then these forms become clothes. In my case I started working on the same way but my final aim was to apply that origami in the space that was already designated by the teacher.
The final result is a clear space, where the “pleats” are obvious and where what gets more importance is clothing. Also, it is a comfortable space for both the visitor and customer as well for staff, thanks to several construction details and facilities designed especially for this show room.
